Aircraft Painter Services

  • Prepares surfaces and applies coatings

  • Applies various epoxy primers, lacquers, enamels, and polyurethanes using conventional and air-assisted spray

  • Makes and applies stencils for lettering and decoration

  • Inspects small parts and removes foreign material that interferes with paint adhesion

  • Performs any surface preparatory treatment as required

  • Reads and interprets blueprints, maintenance manuals, maintenance procedure cards, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications

  • Cleans surface in preparation of sealing, masking, stripping, sanding, priming, applying design layout, including preparing stencils, lettering blocks, decals, and insignias

  • Performs other painter services as required (FEMA Trailer)

  • Assists in development of SE logistics program policies, and provides technical advice on the interpretation/implementation of SE logistics policies issued by higher authority

  • Exercises management and control for the SE Naval Aviation Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program

  • Coordinates and liaises with CVNs undergoing RCOH/PIA to offload, account, store, reinstall and verify all AIMD test benches/SE/IMRL

Nation Defense Reserve Fleet (NDRF) Program Support

  • Provides logistics overhaul and upgrade of approximately 46 vessels

  • Provides configuration management including planned configuration changes and NSE financial and maintenance reports for completed configuration changes

  • Provides material management and spare parts procurement support services including procurement research, logistics support and engineering analysis of marine equipment and systems to identify equipment and material necessary to support MARAD vessels for a period of 180 days at sea

  • Provides shipping, receiving and inventory management services at three MARAD warehouse locations, Cheatham Annex, Alameda, and New Orleans
